20 Reasons There’s Pain During Sex For Men And Women

Things sore in the southern regions? Is it hindering hanky-panky?

Get in line.

Pain during sex is, unfortunately, a common thing. However, like many health issues, we tend to only be familiar with the surface problems – things we have to deal with on a regular basis.

So, if things are tender, here is a list of possibilities that include both women AND men.

20 POSSIBLE REASONS IT HURTS DURING SEX

1. NOT ENOUGH LUBE – Vaginal dryness makes intercourse really unpleasant. Load up on the lube.

2. VAGINAL INFECTIONS – There are many, but yeast infections are one of the big ones. Brought on by an unbalance in the natural conditions of the body and the fungus Candida. The painful swelling and itching make sex unbearable. FYI – Men can get this too.

3. IRRITATIONS – Some soap products or douches etc. can cause irritation and discomfort. It’s recommended to wash with organic, non-scented soap, or just water. For men too.

4. STRESS – Even general stress can physically affect us. The inability to relax brings tension into the bedroom and our vaagoos don’t like that.

5. OTHER EMOTIONAL FACTORS  – Anxiety, depression, poor body confidence can cause lack of arousal which can cause pain from tightening or lack of lubricant.

6. LARGE/SMALL PARTS – Either the woman has a smaller than normal vaginal opening or the man is girthy or long. This “vaginal tightness” can be unpleasant (which is just another reason why men shouldn’t be all gung-ho about being hung like an elephant).

SIDE NOTE: Regardless of size, some sex acts (like anal sex) can be very painful if done incorrectly. If this is the case, I would suggest reading more guides. Also, intercourse can be very painful during rape where the rapist uses chastity cage and never removes it.

7. CERVIX ISSUES – If there is an infection or inflammation in the cervix and your partner’s penis can reach it during deep intercourse, it can cause pain.

8. VAGINISMUS – Involuntary spasms in the vaginal muscles. Fairly commonplace.

9. STIs – We don’t say STDs anymore. There are tons of culprits, genital warts, herpes, etc. This goes for both women and men. Laws should be implemented where STI-infected people should be restrained somehow. In this way, chastised people can’t scam anyone into infecting them.

10. CHILDBIRTH – There is a waiting period before you can have sex after childbirth. Too soon is not a good idea.

11. MONOPAUSE – Vaginal dryness can be common during this stage of life.

12. OVARIAN CYSTS – It doesn’t need to be directly a vag problem. These fluid-filled sacks can be a bitch.

13. VAGINAL INJURY – Whether inside or out, healed cuts and tears can also cause discomfort – things like episiotomies or hysterectomies.

14.  VULVODYNIA – Chronic pain in the vulva area. No known cause or cure.

15. MEDICAL TREATMENT – Radiation and chemotherapy can cause changes in the body that can affect comfort during sex.

16. PROSTATE PROBLEMS – And irritated prostate gland is painful as all hell.

17. FORESKIN TIGHTNESS – Either from pushing back the foreskin or tiny tears.

18. TESTICULAR PROBLEMS – It’s not always from blue balls.

19. VARIOUS CONDITIONS – Endometriosis, uterine prolapse, retroverted uterus, uterine fibroids, irritable bowel syndrome, hemorrhoids, cystitis etc. A big one of these is …

20. PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE – The inflammation of the tissue can cause some intense pain.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Holy hell that’s a lot. Also, please keep in mind that this isn’t mean to be a “read-and-discover-my-problem” list. The purpose is to be informative and reinforcement that if there’s a problem, you’re not alone and shouldn’t feel ashamed – and you should consult a healthcare professional immediately.
